How will coaching with Deborah work?
First, we will have a 15 minute free consultation. I work by appointment, and by telephone. (You are welcome to have a session in person (or on Skype) if you prefer).
In that free consultation, we determine together if coaching is a good fit for what you want, and if I am the coach for you. When you decide, we schedule a time to get started.
At your initial coaching session, we break the problem down into goals that are doable. You create a plan of actions you will take till our next scheduled call. All the while I am listening for: what is missing? are you stretching out of your box? what would make a difference for you? This could take an hour, but most likely 30 minutes to 45 minutes. We then make a date for your next session.
I like a periodic update by phone, email or text as to your progress. I know, it seems like more work… but, this is what will have you in action! Most people find that less than 1/2 hour is required to update and keep moving. If you hit a snag we can have an unscheduled phone conference to get you unblocked! We will do what works best for you. Some people like to write things out, some like lists, some a calendar, others like making promises with a “by when”, some give themselves rewards! Your style … or perhaps tweaking your style if necessary… is what is vital.
I listen for what will work for you. There are no cookie cutters in my practice!
Most people find that a month or maybe two of working on a problem will get them started and on their way to success.
